Welcome! The BetterInvesting Golden West (BIGW) Chapter is here to help you learn to invest using the same BI fundamental principles that have guided over 5 million investors.
We serve Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties, as well as the greater Las Vegas area.

BIGW offers classes, special events, Model Club meetups and Board Meetings open to members and the public. We also partner with other chapters to offer online “webinars” on various investing and “money” topics.
Let us know if you are interested in joining us at a Board Meeting or in volunteering. Contact email@example.com or call (657) 223-1853 and leave a message for Anita.
Individuals can use the new Visit-A-Club (VAC) program to find clubs that welcome visitors. Some Clubs may use the program to spread the word about fundamental investing using BI guidelines and to teach others about investing in the stock market.
Clubs considering joining the new Visit-A-Club (VAC) program, and individuals desiring more information can click the Visit-A-Club tab or contact Richard Raser at firstname.lastname@example.org and type Visit-a-Club Program in the Subject field.
The Orange County Model Investment Club (OC MIC) is open to visitors. OC MIC assists in the formation of new clubs by offering a venue to see a “Model Club” in action by observing a real club meeting with money invested. This is the place to get answers about starting a club, club administration or operations, and learn by doing. Some of our meetings are conducted face-to-face and others are held online via GoToMeeting. Contact Anita at email@example.com and type Model Club in the Subject field. The OC MIC meets the first Saturday morning of every month and reservations are required.
The new Southern California Model Investment Club (SoCal MIC) meets the second Saturday morning of every month at the Alhambra Civic Center Library. Visitors are welcome but due to limited space, reservations are required. Contact Virginia Cooper, firstname.lastname@example.org or call (626) 571-6390.
Club Visits by Directors and Club Education Ideas
What does your club need to learn? What would your club like to learn? Would you like a Club Assessment? Would you like one of our Directors to visit your club to provide a short training session or demo an online tool to your club? Would you like information on starting a new club? Many Club Visits are free (First time visit by a Chapter Director or Starting a New Club visits are free) and others may have a small charge to cover our costs. Our programs usually run 20-25 minutes.
Board Meetings are open to any Chapter member. Please RSVP for a GoToMeeting link or face-to-face location.
