Matt Lyons is a Senior Consultant in Investor Relations at Cerner Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a dual-emphasis degree in Finance & Banking and Real Estate. In his 12 years at Cerner, Matt has held positions in software implementation consulting, financial analysis, business development and capital investments. Matt has been in his role in Investor Relations at Cerner for the past 4 years. He also sits on the board of directors of the Northland Early Education Center.
Mark Merz is the Director of External Reporting and Investor Relations at O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Accounting from Southwest Missouri State University and a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University. He has been an O'Reilly Team Member for almost ten years and his teams are responsible for the O'Reilly's internal financial reporting, financial planning, expense accounts payable, external financial reporting and investor relations. On a personal note, Mark has been married to his wife Megan for 23 years, and they have four children, two in college and two in high school in Springfield Missouri.

Time permitting, a session of “Let’s Talk Stocks” will feature local Directors of KC BI presenting individual stocks of interest using SSGs and research data. These will then be discussed among panel members and the seminar participants.
Investment clubs attending the seminar will benefit from the shared experience of expanding their research when studying a company and will come away with new ideas for stock studies.
