Serving the Dallas - Fort Worth Area.
The DFW Area Chapter is the chartered local arm of BetterInvesting (also known as the National Association of Investors Corporation NAIC). We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping persons interested in learning about investing in stocks and other securities, either as a member of an investment club or as an individual investor.
The chapter sponsors two "model" clubs which are intended to demonstrate how investment clubs operate.
The North Texas Model investment club meets on the second Saturday morning of each month at a north Dallas location. For more information please see the North Texas club home page
The Lone Star Online Investment club is an online club. Members and visitors will use their internet connection to participate in the meetings on the second Tuesday evening of each month. For more information please see the Lone Star club home page.
We sponsor investment workshops and programs on the third Saturday of the month between January and October. Please check the Upcoming Events section for more information and the location of these seminars. If you add your name to our reminder email list we will send you an email when this schedule is updated.
For More Information
We are eager to serve the investing needs of BetterInvesting members who live in the north Texas area. If you are starting a new club or need help in taking the next step, whatever that might be, please contact us. We have board members who are willing to visit clubs to explain BetterInvesting principles, answer questions about BetterInvesting, and help raise the level of enthusiasm about BetterInvesting programs.
The directors and volunteers, who are members of our Board, meet the first Thursday of every month. Our board meetings are open to the public. Please contact the chapter president for time and location if you'd like to visit a board meeting. Better yet, consider offering some of your skills and abilities to the chapter in your quest to being a better investor.
Most importantly, we extend a warm Texas welcome for you to join us in learning, to volunteer with us, or -- best yet -- do both!
