— Now is a good time to test the waters of the stock market, according to members of the S.O.S. Financial Club of Bolingbrook, Ill.
“We look at the products and companies that we patronize and make our decision from that,” said member Myrna Driskell. “Yum, for instance owns KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver and Taco Bell. The economy is down but that’s not affecting the fast food industry.”
Member Brenda Davis said the club follows BetterInvesting guidelines: “We refer to the Stock Selection Guide, which tells us how the stock has performed over the past five years.”
