The Portfolio Evaluation Review Technique (PERT) form was developed by Ralph Seger to help clubs and individuals measure the current performance of their portfolio and is available as a tool within the Toolkit 6 software. Once you have set up a portfolio of your current, completed stock studies in Toolkit 6, the software will make it easy and fill in the PERT form for you.
We will spend a portion of our time reviewing how to use the PERT form in Toolkit 6 to track current performance but will spend the majority of the class time showing how to use the PERT to determine which stocks in our portfolio will perform the best going forward. These are the stocks where we want to increase our holdings. The PERT can also help us determine which stocks do not meet our expections and when it might be a good idea to take our profits in one company and put the money in other stocks that have greater growth potential.
