Oklahoma Chapter 2024 Annual and Election Meeting -June

We will start this Annual Membership Meeting with a presentation by Christi Powell, one of our board’s leading investment educators. Her topic will be Retirement and the title is “Investing With Pictures.” Christi Powell has been a BetterInvesting member since 2000. A former BIVAB member, she is a BI’s Speaker’s Bureau member. She is an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Christi became a Certified Financial Planner in 2007 and owns a registered investment advisory firm specializing in retirement and estate planning. She is the proud recipient of the 2020 Dick Dwyer Service Award. She and her husband, Steve, enjoy traveling, reading, and photography. They have five grandchildren and live in Edmond, OK.

As part of our report to the membership, we will highlight those clubs celebrating their 5-year increment anniversaries this year.

● Salamander Investment Group celebrating its 30th Anniversary.

● Surfers Investment Club is celebrating its 45th Anniversary.

● Blue Chips Investment Club is celebrating its 55th Anniversary.

After we’ve had a chance to discuss our plans for next year, we will elect the board members who will be part of the team that will make these plans a reality.

One-third of our board of directors will be finishing their 3-year term in office and, with your vote, have agreed to serve again for another three-year term.  The role of this board is to determine the activities and programs that are offered to you, our members. That's why your ideas on programs are so important. If you can't make this meeting, we would really like to hear from you about what types of training and events you would like to see us offer. We are always looking for members from the chapter to join our team of volunteers. Being a BetterInvesting volunteer opens up a whole new world of additional investing training along with other development opportunities.  If you're still working, this looks really great on your resume! Part of our meeting will go over the opportunities and benefits that are available to you as a volunteer member of our board.

Have a curiosity to learn about all the planning and execution that is involved in providing quality stock investing education and training to the BetterInvesting membership.  These meetings are open to all.
