What is the Stock Selection Guide (SSG)?

• Foundation of the Approach
  The SSG serves as BetterInvesting’s primary stock analysis tool, helping investors organize historical financial data to assess a company’s growth potential and valuation. It enables plotting of future growth based on past trends, while offering guidance on reasonable pricing based on price-to-earnings (P/E) and historical price data.

• Purpose
  It empowers individual investors—both new and experienced—to determine whether a company fits the profile of a quality growth stock and whether it’s priced reasonably.

Versions: CoreSSG vs. SSGPlus

BetterInvesting offers two web-based versions of the SSG:

• CoreSSG - for the beginner or new users of the SSG method. This tool offers a step-by-step easy-to-use format which is ideal for learning the methodology.
• SSGPlus - for experienced users familiar with the SSG method. This is a more advanced two-page form view with faster workflow, richer graphs, quarterly data, expanded screening tools (including Ticker Heat Map), and more portfolio reports. Includes CoreSSG as well.

Starting from the BetterInvesting member home page, enter a ticker in the 'Launch SSG - Enter ticker' box, under the Online Tools heading, and click GO.
You will be directed to the CoreSSG or SSGPlus - depending on the membership level to which you are subscribed.
