The Opportunity
Join our award-winning newsletter team and shape investment recommendations that influence over 100,000 investors. This role combines rigorous investment analysis with compelling financial storytelling, offering a clear growth path within a market-leading financial technology company.You'll research and analyze small-cap, growth and dividend stocks, write investment recommendations, and help produce three established newsletters, including the Investor Advisory Service—ranked on the Hulbert Investment Newsletter Honor Roll for 16 consecutive years.
What You'll Do
Investment Research & Analysis (40%)- Research and write comprehensive quarterly follow-ups for portfolio companies
- Develop buy/sell/hold recommendations based on fundamental analysis
- Write original company analyses for SmallCap Informer
- Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics using StockCentral Portfolio
- Update newsletter performance figures using Hulbert data
- Monitor dividend transactions and corporate actions affecting recommendations
- Edit and proofread investment commentary from the editor and contributing analysts
- Draft compelling copy for social media channels and blog posts
- Create and optimize newsletter marketing content
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in all investment communications
- Maintain consistency in voice and style across all publications
- Create PDF issues with accompanying Excel spreadsheets and supporting materials
- Manage content in Kentico CMS and Substack platforms
- Create, test, and schedule email alerts for new issues and investment recommendations in Interspire
- Stage and publish blog and social media content
- Assist in webinar presentations about newsletter strategies and recommendations
What You Bring
Required Investment Knowledge- Demonstrated understanding of fundamental equity analysis and valuation methods
- Experience analyzing financial statements and company performance metrics
- Familiarity with small-cap and dividend investing strategies
- Knowledge of portfolio management and performance tracking
- Strong alignment with BetterInvesting's fundamental investing philosophy
- Familiarity with BetterInvesting's Stock Selection Guide methodology
- CFA charterholder or enrollment in CFA program
- Exceptional writing ability, particularly in explaining complex investment concepts clearly
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
- Experience writing for retail investors or general audiences about financial topics
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and data management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and standard office applications
- Experience with content management systems (Kentico, Substack, or similar)
- Comfortable learning new software platforms and email marketing systems
