Last year, we experimented with having a “hybrid” annual meeting in the Morgan room at the High Point Public Library (901 North Main Street, High Point, NC 27262). It went well. The Morgan room is a small to medium size auditorium with about 16 tables and 40 chairs. It also has reasonable internet capabilities and an excellent overhead projection system. We thought these features were adequate for our local BetterInvesting™ members living in the Triad area who were willing to travel to the High Point Library and attend our annual meeting “in-person”. We suspect many other BI members and/or interested folks scattered across North Carolina would prefer to watch and listen to our annual meeting from the comfort of their homes. They can use their computers to connect to our meeting with “Zoom”, the most popular internet communication application.

Our in-person guest presenter is Ken Kavula from Michigan. Ken is a true BetterInvesting™ Champion. He has been a volunteer for more than 25 years. Ken is a nationally known investment speaker and has received numerous prestigious BetterInvesting™ Awards.
Ken is a regular on Ticker Talk, Mid-Michigan BI Chapter Investing Roundtable, and Bull Sessions that he and Mark Robertson produce. Ken devoted his professional career to education and served as a high school principal for 21 years.
After a short chapter business meeting, Ken will present two educational topics. Here’s our expected schedule:
9:00 AM: Library Opens
We need about a half hour to set up all of our equipment.
9:30 AM: Welcome Attendees
9:45 AM: Short NC Chapter Business Session
10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Workshop 1 with Ken Kavula
11:00 AM to 11:15 AM: Break
11:15 AM to 12:15 PM: Workshop 2 with Ken Kavula
12:15 PM to 1:00 PM: Questions, Wrap up, Dismiss
