Donating shares of stocks or mutual funds is a great way to give back to our investment education organization.
A gift of stock can be accomplished by following these three steps:
Step 1 - Initiate the Stock Transfer
Securities can be gifted to NAIC/BetterInvesting either via electronic transfer (in which your broker transfers shares using the NAIC/BetterInvesting DTC number) or by physically mailing the paper certificates to NAIC/BetterInvesting. Electronic transfer is preferred, but either method is welcome. For either method, it is necessary for you to contact your broker to initiate the transfer. Step 2 - Notify NAIC/BetterInvesting by Providing the Information Below
Please Note: We are requesting the following information so we can be on the lookout for (and confirm receipt of) your gift. We wish to prevent a situation in which we haven’t received your gift, yet you think we have.
Step 3 - Send the Securities to NAIC/BetterInvesting
