Let's Talk Stocks - A Look at the Stocks of 15 Companies

If you are looking for some insights on stocks with growth potential, "Let's Talk Stocks" is for you as this popular program returns again. A panel of North Texas Chapter Volunteers will present 15 stocks which, in their opinion, have long-term growth trends. The BI Stock Selection Guide (SSG) will be viewed looking at each company's historical growth, fundamentals, and P/E history. Following their presentations, you get to apply YOUR judgment to ascertain if a stock that interests you is fit for your portfolio  or your club's portfolio at its current valuation.
 

Although there is no guarantee of investment success, this presentation should provide ideas for further research. This annual educational program has historically identified stocks worthy of consideration for both investment club and individual portfolios.

Of the 15 stocks included in last year’s presentation, eight gained value and seven declined between September 19, 2025, and July 19, 2026. Simply adding the per-share price changes produces a net gain of only 1.6%. However, a hypothetical portfolio investing an equal dollar amount in each stock would have gained 23.1% during the same period.

The longer-term results have also been encouraging. The stocks selected for the 2024 presentation have produced a cumulative gain of 50.3% through July 19, 2026.

These results do not ensure that future selections will perform similarly, but they demonstrate the potential value of using the presentation as a starting point for additional research.
