Model Investment Club

The Rocky Mountain Chapter BetterInvesting Model Investment Club is a demonstration of an operating investment club. This model club is focused on small and mid-sized companies as defined by BetterInvesting. Often hard to find and evaluate, these potential gems have annual revenues of less than $10 Billion. A ten to fifteen-minute education session proceeds with the stock presentation.

Stock Presentation: United Therapeutics (UTHR)

United Therapeutics Corp. is a biotechnology company that engages in the development and commercialization of products for patients with chronic and life-threatening conditions. It develops drugs for rare disease and in is at the forefront of the development of organs for transplant. In November 2024, UTHR completed the first successful kidney transplant using a bio-engineered pig kidney. In addition, UTHR has bio-engineered lungs and liver in development. No competitors have had a successful transplant to date. The company was founded by Martine A. Rothblatt on June 26, 1996 and is headquartered in Silver Spring, MD.
