How do I donate stock to BetterInvesting?

Gifting shares of stocks or mutual funds is a great way to give back to our investment education organization, NAIC/BetterInvesting.

The steps include:
Step 1 - Initiate the Stock Transfer
Securities can be gifted to NAIC/BetterInvesting either via electronic transfer (in which your broker transfers shares using the NAIC/BetterInvesting DTC number) or by physically mailing the paper certificates to NAIC/BetterInvesting. Electronic transfer is preferred, but either method is welcome. For either method, it is necessary for you to contact your broker to initiate the transfer. Step 2 - Notify NAIC/BetterInvesting 
Email NAIC/BetterInvesting with specifics of the donation or fill out on the online form on the donation page. We are requesting the information so we can be on the lookout for (and confirm receipt of) your gift. We wish to prevent a situation in which we haven’t received your gift, yet you think we have.
Step 3 - Send the Securities to NAIC/BetterInvesting
Follow the instructions on the donation page to electronically or physically transfer the stock donation.
