Description

The Alaska Chapter's series of free classes will continue in April at Z. J. Loussac Library in the Moose Room. Our goal is to provide information and education to help you improve your investment results.

As part of  April Financial Literacy Month, the Alaska Chapter of BetterInvesting is hosting a financial book discussion on April 29, 2026 (5th Wednesday of April), which will cover "Buffett's 2-Step Stock Market Strategy?" by Danial Jiwani. There are eBooks of it available on Hoopla through the Anchorage Public Library. This book aims to teach beginner investors how to apply Warren Buffett's principles for stock market success, focusing on a two-step process for buying stocks, risk management, and long-term wealth building. The book breaks down when to buy and sell, what to look for in a stock, and common beginner mistakes, based on Jiwani's own experience and research into successful investors.

The book discussion is appropriate for any investor and for those who want to learn more about personal finances. Our goal is to provide information and education to help you improve your investment results.

Diane Akers  - Director of the Alaska Chapter will be leading the discussion and answering questions. The class will last around 1 hour including a question and answer period. We will be also hosting the discussion online using Go-to-Meeting for those who choose not to attend in person.
