We want to provide chapter newsletters with an educational focus 3-4 times a year and to send emails to members and guests once a month about free online events by our chapter and other chapters. We provide free Club Visits when asked – either face-to-face or online via Skype or GoToMeeting. All work is done by volunteers who are members of BetterInvesting.
However, the number of volunteers is shrinking! Some of our volunteer directors are new. Some have been volunteering for 25 years. We have fun doing what we do and enjoy each other’s company at our meetings. Our board meetings are held online normally on first Wednesdays each month. We provide volunteer mentoring and training at our board meetings, and eligible volunteers receive generous benefits. *
We need a few new volunteers to help our current board members with Money Smart Week (outreach programs to local libraries,) Club Support Visits, New Club mentoring, and other educational events if they are to continue. Whether you have a few hours now and then or can make a longer commitment, you can be of enormous help. Please contact us to learn more. Be assured that you will not be alone at any of these events; if you participate in any of our outreach events, you will be partnering with a current Chapter Director. We look forward to your support.
Here are some of the ways you can help:
- Board members. Help us to grow investment club support activities
- Writers/contributors/editors. Help with creating content for our newsletters, emails, or Facebook posts
- Assistant Secretary.
- Assistant Treasurer.
- Website maintenance assistant. Help with posting local BI events, newsletters, articles, and finding content that our chapter members can use now
- Instructor and/or instructor assistants (Money Smart Week/Financial Literacy Month/Club Visits)
