The BetterInvesting (BI) Portland Chapter is pleased to announce our 2025 Annual Meeting & Education Event to be held online on September 20, 2025, from 9 am to 11 am.
Our Education segment will feature Mike Torbenson, author of The Stock Selection Guide (SSG) & Portfolio Management Magic. Mike will present "Buy Low, Sell High for Accelerated Returns." Mike will share how following these two steps drives portfolio returns beyond a 15% annual growth rate. His book introduces the concept of the "company business cycle." It illustrates several examples of how to use business cycles and PE ratios to help project when to buy low and sell high. STAY TUNED: A potential change in one of the online SSG Research Menu modules could affect this presentation.
A brief BUSINESS MEETING will follow the education event. It features a celebration of Portland Chapter Club Anniversaries, director elections, and opportunity prizes. Cost: free. Open to Clubs, Individuals, and the Public!
Calling all BI Portland Clubs: Plan now to enter the 2025 BI Portland Club "Fantasy Portfolio" Contest. Here is the mail-in Rules and Entry form to print out. The deadlines for entry are:
- The printed form above is to be received in the mail by Friday, September 19, 2025; OR
- The Online Entry Form (see Rule #10 on the mail-in Rules form above) is due by midnight, September 20, 2025!
The results from the contest will be announced at the 2026 Annual Education Event and Business Meeting in September 2026!
